Located in the west of the Poitou Charente region in the Vienne (Area 86) , Manoir de Trebuchon is set around a U shape of beautiful old barns amidst acres of private woodland, gardens and meadows and a recently completed swimming pool with large sunbathing areas.

The house is in a very secluded location, positioned at the end of a long private drive with no near neighbours, yet just 2 minutes drive from the attractive local village of Nalliers and the River Gartempe and 5 minutes from the local market town of St. Savin and is ideal for the nature lover and those seeking a quiet and relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. Please note the surrounding barns are not converted and as such the peace of the property is absolute.

The property has been converted and modernized to create a tranquil haven and offers well furnished and stylish accommodation. We can sleep up to 8 people comfortably with 2 double bedrooms, one with a King size bed, and one with a Super King bed, a four poster double bed on the beautiful mezannine and a further bedroom on the ground floor with two single beds.

The dining area offers a large farmhouse table with seating for 10 and offers superb family or should you wish - romantic dining facilities. For your entertainment we also have Sky TV, board games and a CD player with a selection of CD’s for your use. Or should you wish for a quiet reading area – there is a large sofa and a good selection of books at your disposal on the first floor landing.

The enormous open plan design of the downstairs provides both the living and dining areas and has a large attractive open fireplace, a large sitting area with an oversized L shaped sofa and complete open access to the roofspace and the A framed structure of the house. 




 

There is a family bathroom on the 1st floor with bath, shower, WC and bidet and a further shower room(with washing machine) and WC on the ground floor. We provide all linen and towels for your use.

There are 3 main bedrooms in Trebuchon consisting of a downstairs twin bedded room with access to a shower and toilet. The mezannine on the first floor houses an attractive canopied 4 poster double bed, there are then 2 further bedrooms with a king size bed and a super king bed.

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped for up to 10 people with electric/gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a microwave. A door from the entrance hall leads directly into the large gardens, walled swimming pool and the flower meadows and woodland beyond.

Trebuchon is a classic French property, beautifully located but most definitely rural, if you are looking for town life in the country, this is not for you but if you want tranquility and peace without the glitz - it is definitely the right choice !
